Important Note
- Please ensure your phone is unlocked to any network (e.g. Telstra, Optus, Vodafone)
- Please only insert this sim after arrival in destination
Activation
- Please let us know your USA / Hawaii arrival date if you haven't already, so we can activate for you on your arrival date.
- It may take 15 minutes to 6 hours for the network to activate a sim in peak season
Usage Instruction
- On arrival, switch off phone, insert simcard, switch on phone
- Turn OFF Flight Mode; Turn ON Mobile Data; Turn ON Roaming
- Sim will start the auto set-up process.
- Manually connect to the network only if required (see below).
Enquire sim information
- Your mobile number: Call *613# (Not SMS)
- Your bundle: Call *619# (Not SMS)
- Your balance: Call *611# (Not SMS)
- Your mailbox: Call 121 (Not SMS)
Call and text function
- USA Local Call and Text: Area code + Number OR 1 + Area code + Number
- Example: 347-421-6801 OR 1-347-421-6801
- Australia or International Call and Text: 011 + Country Code + Area Code + Number
- Example: 011-61-2-9876-5432 OR 011-61-401-234-567
Please follow the instructions below in case there is a problem:
Connect to Internet
- Check that APN is correctly set to data.lycamobile.com (see below)
- Ensure roaming is turned on, and flight mode turned off
- Remove the sim, then restart the phone. After restart, insert the sim
- Try the sim in another phone
- APN Settings:
- Android: Open Settings > Network & Internet / Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names > Add or Edit > data.lycamobile.com Username and Password: Leave Blank > Save > Restart phone
- iPhone: Open Settings > Mobile > Mobile Data Network > Mobile Data > APN > Set to data.lycamobile.com Username and Password: Leave Blank > Save > Restart phone
- Reset network settings:
- Android: Open Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings > Reset settings > Restart phone
- iPhone: Open Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Restart phone
- Connect to the Lyca or T-Mobile network manually:
- Android: Open Settings > Network & Internet / Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators > Select manually > Select Lyca or T-Mobile
- iPhone: Open Settings > Mobile > Network Selection > Turn off Automatic > Select a network manually > Select Lyca or T-Mobile
